So in a sense i am a pirate but i have cd keys for both xp and vista. I will buy windows 7 even if i buy the cheaper one and pirate the the most expensive.
I own my copy of windows vista home edition, i use vista ultimate because i feel i have paid for vista i should be able to get vista and not this crappy run down version they gave me. Windows 7 will be an excellent operating system. When they changed its code from Windows XP to Server 2003.

Remember Windows Vista probably cost more to develop than Windows 7 because Vista's development was reset once. Visa was more of a beta of Windows 7 than anything else. Windows 7 is much faster than Vista, but it also has a lot of bugs, new improvements over Vista. Looks very similar to Windows Vista, agreed however functions there are significant differences between the two operating systems. Fortunately Microsoft have not changed the driver platform again.

Agreed on the drivers, as you said and quite correctly a lot of drivers will work. It is in fact built on NT (same as 2000, 2003, XP, Vista etc) kernel (gosh that is getting old now) Talking about platforms I hear what you are saying, however in fact they have had the actual platform around for ages. Just because an operating system looks similar doesn't mean it is the same. WTF am I always debating stuff revolving around Windows 7, its not like me
